The De Stoop family could never have imagined that the purchase of a rising 18YO mare at the 2017 Inglis Turangga Farm Dispersal in Scone – for just $54,000 – would result in a life-changing G1-winning sprinter.
Chatelaine (Flying Spur) – already the dam of Champion 2YO Headway – was subsequently sent to Maurice and her resulting foal was offered in Parsons Creek first #InglisClassic draft in 2020. Bought by Triple Crown for $180,000, he was named Mazu.
The Parsons Creek team will offer its third draft at the Inglis Classic Sale next month.
